Arts Council Grant to fund 'From Scratch'
On 27th March 2009, ICFAR recieved news that it's application, made on the 12 February to fund a series of events examining the legacy of the Scratch Orchestra, had been successful.
The series, entitled 'From Scratch', will combine practice-based workshops which examine the cross-disciplinary approach taken by the Orchestra; between notation and performance, with a public forum discussing the currency of the Orchestra, in terms of methodology its and socio-political context. There will also be screenings and live performances. Events will take place at The Drawing Room, Tannery Arts, Brunswick Wharf, 55 Laburnum Street, London E2 8BD. See Events for further details.
